Joe Mack Turf Fields

As weather has continued to become an issue for outdoor sports facilities, the City of Jonesboro has been proactive in entertaining new synthetic turf fields and facilities that allow more playing time while reducing down time and maintenance. Our office was commissioned to provide design for two new fields in the center of Joe Mack Campbell Park that would allow for both soccer and football to be played year-round.

These fields grade were raised well above flood level to eliminate possible damage to the field turf itself or any of the underground drainage. Additionally, existing field lighting was maintained to reduce overall cost of the project, allowing these funds to be utilized for surrounding concrete flatwork to accommodate spectators and provide additional walks around the field to connect to other adjacent fields.
